The definition of liveliness is to be outgoing and energetic. the definition of art is the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or more than ordinary significance.
I feel my writing, drawing, poetry, music. Whatever gets me in the mood to create, is the most significant thing that makes me who I am. Other artists will feel the same. I’ve often said, “If I don’t get these things out of my head, I’ll explode!”
But it’s much more than creating. Space and the area you create in is equally important.
I’m adding a sketch to this post. It has changed since this initial rendering. I plan to use it for a story I’m working on. I’m thinking of posting it to Wattpad. I’ll leave the link if I do. The story is Tent Revival. It’s hometown crazy, of that you can be assured! Lots of interesting characters and lots of fun. The only problem is, it has to be reduced to 50000 words. It’s already over the mark. So, some work will go into making it better. It will also be featured in the Write Practice. If my friends there read this, be assured I haven’t forgotten about you. I’m just experimenting with some different ways to get my stories out there.

Hi Edmund. I’ve seen tent Revival around on Write Practice – I’m interested to know what your Wattpad experience is like, as I’ve ever shared anything there. Do they set a 50,000 limit?
(I also had to google what a tent revival was. Think the term is specific to the US – I’m not sure we have a word for it over here. We do have it over here though – a youth group recently hired the O2 arena AKA Millennium Dome in London for a meeting. It’s not common though, so this is intriguing to me.) Especially if it features wild-eyed preachers and underlying nastiness.)
I like including art on your blog. I should do that!
Revival in this country dates back to the 1730’s around the time of the Great Awakening. I’m not sure when the tents came into use. I want to say late 1800’s. I haven’t seen one here in a while. When I was a kid, there were several around this area. Kentucky is right on the border of the South and the North. Tent Revivals were more of a Southern thing. The largest being in Texas. There were a lot of healings and things of this nature. There were lots of shady preachers who took advantage of people’s weak minds. I thought it a good guise for a group of flesh-eating creatures. The original idea came from a guy I know who tries to make himself out to be a Sage. He has internet credentials to prove it. The guy is narcissistic and pretty cocksure of himself. The perfect person to base a story on.
I’ll post about the experiences with Wattpad. I’ve never used them before either. There are some good writers on there but also bad ones. It will be interesting to know how my story fares.
