Writing, for me, has been a journey. Poetry was my first love, then came short stories. But I stopped there for some reason. Actually three reasons. They are all well-adjusted adults now. But I can’t blame my family for the reasons I stopped writing. Besides, I’ve journaled for years and continued to write the occasional poem. But I knew someday I would put it all together and produce some longer work. I have short stories as long as 10000 words and a couple of novellas underway. One over 50000. It’s probably considered a novel but I haven’t edited yet. I have no set way of doing things, I suspect I’m a panster. Although I’m finding, with larger pieces, it’s harder to keep my train of thought going. I may try Scrivener but need to do more research.
I’ve honed my art techniques over the years too. I think it’s all coming together now. I’m working on a cover to one of my novellas. I had to revise it but it’s going to be pretty good when done. I will post it when that happens. I will soon have a publication of poetry in a magazine called Siren’s Call. Once it is, I’ll let everyone know.
